We round out our phases of marriage discussion with the Renegotiation phase. Renegotiation typically occurs when a couple is launching their children and is tasked with redefining and negotiating the next season of their relationship. Many divorces occur (about 22%) during this season of marriage and therefore it is important that we talk about and intentionally prioritize this season. Marriage satisfaction can increase greatly due to decreased demands in this season.
